Individual note:   per Thea M. Bacci "I remember young Carl dying in High School. He was a Senior
I was a Freshman. He had saved some friend's life from drowning on the river
where they were skating. Carl fell in the ice water, didn't drown but caught a
cold & flu & died. Our principal had a memorial service in honor of him. He
was very popular in HS, team capt., student council, class officer, etc. He
was a handsome fellow and reminded me of my brother Ed."
Mel said he was 13 when Carl died.
